Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School is blessed to have three dedicated women hard at work each day in the school kitchen. With decades of combined food service experience, Anne Broderick, Jamie Rodriguez, and Debbie Pfahl diligently work to provide nutritious meals for all our students PK-12.
Our Lady of the Lakes 5/6 Football won their 5th straight game (and 4th consecutive shutout) this season with a convincing 42-0 victory over St. Isaac Jogues on Saturday night. Solid blocking and hard running staked Lakes to 24-0 lead after the first quarter, as Geno Seets (40 yards), Gavin Bond (63 yards) and Alex Asai (25 yards) all found the Charger end zone.
Our Lady of the Lakes fifth graders learned that there really is no ‘I’ in team. They recently got a preview of Camp Tamarack, a beautiful, picturesque 1,250 acre camp in Ortonville, before their 3 day trip in the spring.
The CYO Our Lady of the Lakes 7/8 Football team steamrolled to their first 4 – 0 start since 2014 with a convincing win over Our Lady of Refuge on Saturday. A pair of William Burton TD passes to tight end Brody Kosin sealed the victory for the Lakers.
The Our Lady of the Lakes Cross Country Team may be small in numbers, but at the Holly/Duane Raffin Cross Country invite on Saturday September 14th they showed they are still a force to be reckoned with.
Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School’s CYO 5/6 Football won their 4th straight game (3rd straight shutout) this season. with a 19-0 victory over Our Lady of Refuge. Lakes controlled the ball the majority of the game, as Lakes defense held Refuge to 1 first down on the afternoon. A balanced running attack led by Brody Denver and Alex Asai helped lead the way.
The Our Lady of the Lakes Cross Country Team may be small in numbers, but at the Genesee Cross Country invite on Saturday September 7, they showed they are still a force to be reckoned with. For the boy’s team, Noah Rodriguez medaled with a 8th place finish.
Behind a stout defense, Our Lady of the Lakes 5/6 football rolled to their 3rd straight win on Saturday against Notre Dame Marist Academy 25-0. Lakes held Marist to -5 yards of offense and did not allow a first down for the game. Lakes opened the scoring in the first quarter thanks to a 55 yard Hayden Houghton TD. Geno Seets scored two TD’s (11 yards, 54 yds) as Lakes closed the first half up 19-0.
It didn’t start pretty for the Our Lady of the Lakes 7/8 CYO Football team, but a second half rally was just enough to beat their rivals, Notre Dame Marist Academy. It was an intense game with an intense crowd under the bright lights on Saturday night.
An Alex Asai first quarter touchdown (46 yards) opened the scoring for Our Lady of the Lakes 5/6 CYO Football team. Lakes added to their lead in the 2nd quarter as both Geno Seets (48 yard run) and Dylan Hamel (15 yard reception) found the end zone staking Lakes to a 19-0 halftime lead. Lakes added to their lead on a 3rd quarter Gavin Bond 58 yard punt return.
