Lakes 5/6 Boys found themselves down 9 points midway through the third quarter on Saturday against Our Lady Queen of Martyrs. From that point Brody Rotter and the Lakes defense took over, as Lakes made an incredible comeback and won their second straight game 22-20. Rotter scored 13 of his game high 17 points in the second half. Alex Asai chipped in 4 points, but it was the defensive effort that made the difference.
The Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes girls basketball team improved to 7-4 on the season thanks to a 48-17 win over St. Thomas on Thursday. Brooklyn Robak scored 25 points to lead the Lakers in the victory.
The Our Lady of the Lakes 5/6 Boys CYO Basketball Team picked up their first win on Saturday 19-15 over Notre Dame Marist. Brody Rotter led the Lakers with 12 points and Latane Ware (4 points) and clutch free throw shooting from Diesel Rodriguez (3 points) rounded out the scoring.
For a team which had averaged 57 points during its recent three-game winning streak, Tuesday night’s goose egg in the first quarter proved to be quite the anomaly for the Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes girls.

Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes looked unbeatable early in Friday’s CHSL girls basketball game, jumping out to a 14-2 lead, but Cranbrook Kingswood was not intimidated. The Cranes fought and scrapped. However, the Lakers were just too much for them.
Our Lady of the Lakes Varsity Boys Basketball team took on University Liggett earlier this week on their home court in Grosse Point Woods. Lakes earned the W outscoring the Knights 62-28.
Last night started league play in the CHSL for Waterford Our Lady of the Lake’s girls basketball. Lakes came out with the win, outscoring Cardinal Mooney 65-42.
