Solid defense and scoring contributions from a variety of players led Lakes to their 3rd straight victory of 35-0 vs Cabrini. George Glusco (2 TD’s), Holtie Ware (TD reception) and scoring runs from William Burton and Landen Matt led Lakes to victory last Saturday against Cabrini. Holtie Ware’s two conversion kicks and Grant Summer’s run rounded out the scoring.
Ms. Zaleski’s 12th grade Statistics students have been learning about what statistics is as well as some basic statistical terminology such as samples, populations and variables. The students demonstrated their understanding of these concepts by creating multi-media presentations using their iPads.
Mrs. Piot’s 5th Grade class had their fall day trip to Camp Tamarack in preparation of their week long visit in the spring! The students learned about the important of working together as a team. They can’t wait to come back for a longer stay and hopefully some better weather!
The Lakes Varsity CYO football team pulled out an overtime victory against the Ann Arbor Saints last Saturday. A Leo Wilson touchdown run and Holtie Ware’s conversion staked Lakes to an early 8-0 lead.
The Laker Team may be small in numbers but at the Genesee Cross Country Invite on Saturday September 8th they showed they are still a force to be reckoned with. For the boy’s team, Noah Rodriguez medaled with a fourth-place finish running a career best time of 18:50.94.
Reason for Nomination: Phoebe’s consistency, positivity, and determination at practices and games are huge assets to the team. She always seems to be smiling and willing to help others; giving advice or simply cheering them on.
