Join us as we celebrate Thanksgiving with Mass at 9 a.m. Hopefully, you will be able to join us for the liturgy. The word Eucharist means thanksgiving. Certainly we can appreciate our need to thank God for the many benefits He has bestowed upon us individually and as a community. What better way could there be to begin our celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday than Mass? Remembering all God has accomplished through us and giving thanks for these gifts is important for our spiritual growth. So, join us to give thanks on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. if you are available.
In addition to the change of Mass time on Thursday, we will not have a public Mass on Friday as we usually do. I encourage you to relax and spend the day in peace and quiet. Please note: the parish office will be closed next Thursday and Friday. We wish everyone an enjoyable and peaceful holiday!
Our collection on Thanksgiving Day will directly benefit our parish St. Vincent de Paul conference. All monies collected will remain with our conference to help them care for the poor and needy throughout the year. Please be generous to this collection, according to your ability, as we help a multitude of truly needy people throughout the year with food and financial help when a true emergency arises. Our Vincent de Paul group does a wonderful job in screening people to make sure we help where needed according to our parish ability. This is a wonderful way to support the mission of the Church in providing for those less fortunate.
