Both our Adult Choir and Youth Choir will begin meeting this fall online. Our first project will be an online Christmas Concert. We will meet by conference call (Zoom) and then each choir member will
record their part by way of taking a smart phone video while they sing along to their part, which
will be playing in their earbuds from a second device.
If it sounds complicated, don’t worry, we will break it down into small tasks that are easily accomplished and you will have all the technical and musical support you need.
Adult choir has already made a test audio recording with this process and it came out well! Listen to it here.
First Adult Choir Zoom meeting is Wednesday September 16 at 7:15 PM.
Please contact me if you are interested in joining – or even just checking it out. Tim Smith, 248-821-8443, or tim@timothyrsmith.com
We have 3 different bible study groups at Our Lady of the Lakes
Please feel free to join any of our group at any time!
The message of Jesus as The Divine Mercy is simple. God loves us and wants us to recognize that His mercy is greater than our sins, so that we will call upon Him with trust, receive His mercy, and let it flow through us to others.
The Divine Mercy is based on the writings of Saint Faustina Kowalska who wrote a diary of about 600 pages recording the revelations she received about God’s mercy.
The Eucharistic Apostles of the Divine Mercy group currently meets every other week on either Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. or Thursdays at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel. Please check the calendar or bulletin for the exact schedule.
This group of men and women of all ages meet on the 3rd Sunday of every month at the Parish Center or a local restaurant. Our mission is to offer each other comfort, empathy and companionship. We have activities based on a variety of needs both spiritual and social. We plan unique outings that help individuals go through the journey of loss, to finding peace and a sense of new beginnings. Join us while we support each other through tears of sorrow and joy. Meeting information can be found in the bulletin.
