Yanjun Deng (Lancer) came to Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School from the city of Guangzhou, China. He joined us his sophomore year of high school and it did not take long for him to make his place at Lakes.

Lancer is an avid photographer and enjoys documenting his many travels through pictures. He is often called to take photos of events in and out of school; he has even used his photography skills to help take photos for the school’s new banner featuring student-athletes. Lancer is currently taking AP Art, focusing on digital photography, after being highly recommended for his photography skills.

Lancer joined the new Esports Club this year. He does not currently compete, but is there to cheer on his friends and help with technical support, including online streaming of matches. He is looking forward to majoring in Cybersecurity or Computer Science, potentially at the University of the Pacific, in Stockton, California or American University in Washington, DC.
