Head Varsity Girls Softball Coach

Our Lady of the Lakes is seeking a Head Varsity Softball Coach for the 2018-19 season.

Qualifications/Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Able to instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for athletes to realize a degree of individual and team success.
Able to build and manage qualified coaching staff to ensure proper instruction in all areas of the game
3-5 years coaching experience preferred.
Experience as a player preferred.
Teaching experience preferred
Must possess strong communication skills
Must be able to work well with staff and other coaches
Ability to instruct students in proper and safe weight training technique
Protecting God’s Children certificate
Must pass criminal background check

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide proper safeguards for maintenance and protection of students, equipment and facilities.
Perform duties which may be assigned by the Athletic Director.
Instill in each player a respect for equipment, and school property.
Implement and design clinics in order to promote the sport.
Schedule practices, clinics, camps and competitions.
Continue to grow professionally by attending seminars and clinics.
Maintains discipline and works to increase morale and cooperation.
Attend all meetings for school, league, and state
Perform minimal field maintenance and upkeep
Be a visible presence around the Our Lady of the Lakes Community
May be required to schedule indoor practices and contests as well as work within a budget
May be asked to work on scheduling with opposing coaches
